Every Sound in ANAVIBE is played from real takes, key by key, with velocity layers on many of them. Then four Oscs, filters, envelopes and a full mixer let you shape them.
The sounds are recorded ‘Perfectly Imperfect’, with just the right amount of noise & wonkiness for the vibe!
FOUR OSCS
Layer up to four Sounds
Each Osc plays one Sound with Level, Pitch and Fine, unison of up to five voices or the Super Saw, its own filter with a vowel mode, two envelopes, Legato and Portamento.
LFO AND ARP
Movement you can see
The Mod Wheel, Aftertouch and three LFOs with eight shapes reach pitch, filter, pan, the vowel, reverb and more. Every knob an LFO moves shows a gold ring over its sweep. The Arp has 17 rates, Gate and Shuffle.
A studio in the mixer
Every Osc has its own channel of effects. The Master adds the VIBE tape, Bus Comp and Limiter.

FIFTY YEARS OF THE STUDIO
Modelled on the gear that made the records
The sound of the last fifty years of music wasn't only the instruments. It was the chain they went through: the microphone, the valve, the tape, the console, the plate, the speaker spinning in its cabinet. ANAVIBE puts that whole chain in the mixer, modelled the way the hardware actually behaves, not as a preset that only looks the part.
Holy grail microphones
ANAVIBE's Sounds were recorded at Marc's Rose Dragon Studio and his London studio, through classic microphones including the Neumann U47, the microphone famously used by Whitney Houston.
Analogue at the source
The analogue Sounds were recorded from a vintage 1970s synth, oscillator by oscillator, at several footages, then played back key by key. Real voltage and real drift, not a maths approximation of it. The Moog sounds come from a legendary Model D, recorded by synth composer and programmer Martyn Phillips, who has programmed for the likes of Erasure and [more]. Used with his permission.
The console channel
Each Osc gets its own strip, like a desk: a compressor modelled on the classic British console channel compressor, with Auto Release; EQ; and a valve stage with several characters, from clean warmth to driven glow.
The modulation rack
Every MOD type follows a famous piece of studio and stage history: the rotating speaker cabinet, the scanner vibrato of the tonewheel organ, the optical tremolo of vintage amps, the string-machine ensemble, the phaser and the tape flanger.
The rooms
A lush hall, the steel plate that defined decades of vocals, a real-sounding room, the gated non-linear verb of the 1980s, and Shimmer, the octave-up wash of modern ambient.
The master bus
VIBE, a one-knob tape machine with an exciter, its hiss only while you play, and a bus compressor in the spirit of the big consoles, to glue the mix the way a mix engineer would.
Why it matters. These are the tools Marc has mixed with for 25 years. ANAVIBE gives you his whole signal chain in one window, so the sound that leaves it already sounds finished.

25 years of chart-topping records, in one instrument
ANAVIBE isn't a synth from a software company. It's the instrument of a producer who has spent 25 years making records that topped the charts, and who built it for the way he works.
Marc JB (Marc Jackson Burrows) is a producer, remixer, songwriter, jazz pianist, multi-instrumentalist and sound designer. As one half of the remix and production duo Bimbo Jones, he has mixed and remixed for Lady Gaga, Rihanna, P!nk, Kylie, Katy Perry, Ke$ha and The Killers.
Every Sound and every default setting in ANAVIBE was chosen by ears that have finished hundreds of records. The mixer is laid out the way Marc mixes. The effects are the ones he reaches for, set where he sets them. When you open ANAVIBE, you start where a chart record starts, not from a blank page.

Recorded at Rose Dragon Studio
Marc's studio is a 600-year-old house beside an ancient forest, an hour south of London, with around 400 instruments: Rhodes, Hammond, piano, guitars, world instruments, drums and percussion. The moonlit forest you see in ANAVIBE is inspired by that forest.
